This 18th century private mansion, discreetly turned from the street towards the calm expanse of the enclosed garden, prefers to offer its broad façade to the century-old trees and flower beds around the swimming pool. The bedrooms and bathrooms are decorated in a refined and personal style, and guests will be surprised and enchanted by the Rabelais suite. The mansion stands in the heart of the historic quarter of the capital of the old Bas-Poitou region, the former home to many leading names in French cultural history such as François Rabelais, Nicolas Rapin and François Viète... without forgetting our contemporaries Georges Simenon, Raymond Queneau and Michel Ragon.
